Listeners and their families have grown up with Rene’…and what a difference Rene’ makes!

Whether it’s the daily TRIVIA challenge, horrifying tales of cooking explosions, or the infectious and joyous laughter of a woman who LOVES people and all their little quirks… listeners are hooked on the KCRE wake up call!

Rene’ is so “real”, you’ll think you grew up with her as your next door neighbor!

Her hobbies include: making lists, multi-tasking, home remodeling

Lane Carpenter

Mon-Fri 6am to 9am & Noon to 12:30pm

Lane Carpenter began his radio career as a LISTENER! He was an avid Trivia Player and one day, while picking up a prize at the station, had a chance to meet with the program director.

Talk about being in the right place at the right time... After a station tour and a quick training session, Lane was soon working part time on the weekends!

In 1986, Lane was given the opportunity to host KCRE's "After Dark" show from 6pm to midnight. Five years later he was promoted to the much coveted "Afternoon Drive" show from 2pm to 6pm.

With his musical skills and love of technology, Lane earned the Title of Production Manager of KCRE and KFVR radio in 1995. Lane now spends the majority of his day in a darkened production room with lots of recording devices and a computer!

Now, you'll hear Lane in the morning with Rene’ every Monday through Friday from 6am to 9am. You NEVER know what will happen next when the two of them get together for three of the LIVELIEST hours in radio!

Lane's interests include: Cars, World of Warcraft and slot-car racing.

Join KCRE each Friday morning for Trivia with Dennis! The Long Island Rocker 'challenges' listeners with music trivia spanning 5 decades.

Plus, he shares the pulsebeat of America --- from the OTHER coast!

Dennis and wife, Barbara, are TRUE New Yorkers. Born and raised in New York and make their home on Long Island. "Almost"- but not quite-a neighbor  to Billy Joel and other famous East Coast singers/musicians!

Dennis has been a weekly part of the KCRE Wake Up Call since he and morning show hostess, Rene' Shanle-Hutzell, met on a CRUISE SHIP in Mexico back in 1999.

By profession, Dennis is a number cruncher.  However, KCRE listeners know him as a World Traveler and Officianado of all things 'music'  (he's not bad at sports trivia either).
